Why Choose Us?

Our History

The history of Service King Collision Repair CentersService King Collision Repair Centers was founded in Dallas, Texas, in 1976 when Eddie Lennox purchased a body shop housed in a small tin shack complete with a hand painted sign that read: "Service King." Fast-forward to today, and Service King has grown to become a leader in the collision repair industry and the largest employee-owned paint and body accident repair network in the country.

In 2012, The Carlyle Group purchased a majority stake in Service King to provide the capitol needed for national growth. The expansion is well underway with more than 170 locations across 20 states. Additional growth is planned for the rest of this year and the next, so if there isn't a Service King near you today, there probably will be soon.

Our reputation for making the repair process convenient and hassle-free is earned every day. Not just because of our on-site rental cars and outstanding relationships with insurance companies, but because of the more than 2600 Service King teammates who make it their job to make you happy.

Brand Promise

Automotive repair mission statementService King is more than a name. It's a promise. It's our two-word mission statement that we've emblazoned on every building for the entire world to see. It tells all of our visitors what they can expect, and all of us what's expected. And we're reminded of those expectations every morning when we walk into work. Because it's not just about the car, it's about the care. That's why everyday we're here, we do everything we can, to make sure every customer drives away feeling great. We're not just called Service King – we are Service King.

I-Car Training

Automotive repair mission statementToday's unibody cars have many advancements that didn't exist only a few years ago. As auto makers have introduced new technology, the equipment and technical training needed to repair vehicles has changed as well. Keeping technicians up to date with technology through training is what I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, is all about.

I-CAR is an international not-for-profit organization that gathers information about collision repair from major auto makers like BMW, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Nissan, Toyota and Volvo; from collision repair businesses across the country; from insurance companies; and from makers and suppliers of tools, equipment and materials used to repair cars. The purpose of this network is to raise the quality, safety and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.

Among the items that I-CAR asks consumers to look for when searching for a quality collision repair shop is the type and level of training provided employees. Look for signs and certificates that indicate that the shop has been properly trained. To assist consumers in identifying shops that have invested in training, I-CAR has established Gold Class Professionals. The I-CAR Gold Class Professionals are collision repair businesses and insurance claims offices that have their employees I-CAR trained. Service King is proud to be a member of the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals.

These businesses support the I-CAR philosophy of restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition for the benefit of the consumer. They recognize that training is an ongoing process based on the rapidly changing automotive technology. They show their level of training commitment by re-qualifying for the Gold Class Professionals honor every year.

Think of your I-CAR Gold Class Professional Repair Facility as additional "insurance" for your vehicle. At Service King, we "ensure" that your collision repair needs and expectations will be met to the highest degree and that your vehicle will look and drive as well as it did before the collision.
